The 1968 Toyota Sports 800 is a highly sought-after Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) classic, recognized as Toyota's very first production sports car. Affectionately nicknamed the "Yota-Hachi" (a Japanese portmanteau for "Toyota 8"), it is celebrated for its radical lightweight engineering, aircraft-inspired aerodynamics, and one of the earliest mass-produced targa-style removable panels.
Between 1965 and 1969, only about 3,131 units were produced, with just 10% to 15% estimated to have survived to the modern day. While primarily built in right-hand drive (RHD) for Japan, a very limited number were constructed with left-hand drive (LHD) for American-occupied Okinawa.
With only 40,000 miles this clean Toyota Sports 800 has been a part of the Duncan Imports collection since 2023.
