The 1994 Acura Integra LS marks the debut of the highly celebrated third-generation (DC2/DB7) Integra, famously recognized by it's iconic four-eyed projector headlight design. Positioned as the mid-level trim between the base RS and the high-performance, VTEC-equipped GS-R, the LS balances everyday comfort with Honda's signature 1990s sporty driving dynamics.
Unlike the GS-R, the 1994 LS trim does not feature VTEC from the factory. Instead, it utilizes a highly reliable, non-VTEC powerplant known for its excellent tuning potential.

The B18B1 engine block is commonly used for "LS-VTEC" engine builds (mating a VTEC head to the LS block) or turbocharging.
