Offered as either a sedan, or a limousine with an extended passenger compartment, the Toyota Century is the epitome of Japanese luxury. Each unit comes with all of the amenities you could ask for including, but not limited to, hydraulic suspension for a smooth ride, electronic seat adjustment in the rear passenger seats, separate climate controls for the rear passengers, and remote control for stereo and climate control. The first 30 years saw few changes, and all units built in Japan during that time came with a V8 engine. The Second Generation received a major upgrade with the introduction of a V12 engine in 1997, which remained the only available option until the Third Generation debuted in 2018. While a manual transmission option was originally available with the First Generation, that was discontinued and the Century was built and sold exclusively with an automatic transmission from 1975 on.
