    1966 Chevrolet Nova SS L-79
    "The Giant Killer"
We are proud to offer this exceptional 1966 Chevrolet Nova SS L-79---one of the most
formidable and respected muscle cars of the 1960s. Often referred to as "The Giant
Killer," the L-79 Nova combined lightweight performance with Chevrolet's legendary
high-revving small block, earning its reputation both on the street and strip.

This numbers-matching example is extremely well documented, supported by an
impressive collection of original paperwork, receipts, and photographs confirming its
authenticity and history. Included is the original handwritten GM Retail Order Form
from Gloves Cities Chevrolet in Gloversville, New York, ordered for retail delivery to the
original buyer in Tacoma, Washington. Also included are the original Owner's Manual
and Protect-O-Plate, still attached, showing a delivery date of May 22, 1966.

Further documentation includes an NCRS Shipping Data Report, along with numerous
receipts covering replacement parts and professional body shop work performed over
the years. Of particular note is documentation for a professional engine rebuild of the
    legendary L-79 327ci / 350-horsepower Turbo-Fire V8. During the rebuild, the original
block was magnafluxed and bored .030-over, with the rotating assembly professionally
balanced. Photographs taken during the process clearly show the correct casting
numbers on both the block and cylinder heads, which were also reworked to include
hardened valve seats for improved durability.
Power is delivered through the original Muncie M21 close-ratio 4-speed transmission,
which has also been refreshed. Out back, the car retains its original 12-bolt Posi-traction
rear differential with 3.73 gears, complete with documented embossed markings
    verifying the correct build date.
Originally ordered in New York and delivered to Washington State, this Nova later spent
many years in Arizona and California before being acquired by us in 2019. Since then, it
has resided in a private collection, carefully preserved and maintained.

Opportunities to own a true, documented L-79 Nova SS are increasingly rare. This is a
chance to acquire an iconic and historically significant 1960s muscle car---one that
perfectly embodies the spirit and performance that earned it the nickname
    "The Giant Killer."
