    Dealer Notes

This is the 839th Porsche 911, it was built on April 14, 1965. This early model still retains many parts and designs from the 901 prototypes. According the the previous owner: After extensive research, this could very well be the very first special ordered 911. It features "paint to sample" in Weissgrau and blue interior with blue square weave carpet, which was not available at that time. The standard carpet was black velours and not square weave which was standard on 356 Porsches. Furthermore, the only options for interior colors were black, red, or tan. The following list explains the differences between the first 1000 cars or so, compared to later 1965 models and beyond. This early example retains all of these features. This is truly 1 of 1.
