The Daihatsu HiJet has been a major player in the mini-truck market for decades. Since its inception in 1960, the HiJet has transformed in accordance with Japanese Kei car regulations. Beginning with a 356 cc two stroke engine producing 17 horsepower, the engine size has been gradually increased with each generation to what is now a 659 cc inline 3-cylinder engine producing 53 horsepower.
Most of the HiJets carried here at Duncan are 4WD and manual transmission. This versatile truck is built for utility, and it is offered in various configurations such as dump beds, climbers, and even firetrucks! With that said, this vehicle is perfect for farm or offroad use.
